Unity in the Community and The Falcon Group have launched their 3rd Annual Holiday Toy Giveaway, an effort dedicated to supporting local children and families in Bryan County during the holiday season.
Toy donations are being accepted through December 14, with drop-off boxes located at three convenient community partners: Food Lion on Highway 17, Bubba’s Bistro on Highway 17, and Ameris Bank on Ford Avenue. Residents are encouraged to contribute new, unwrapped toys for children ranging from infant to 17 years old.
A special community toy drop-off event will take place on Saturday, December 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Food Lion on Highway 17. Volunteers will be greeting donors and sharing information about how the yearly initiative helps brighten the season for local youth.
The toys will be distributed during a holiday celebration at Ashton Apartments on December 20, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Families from Ashton Apartments, Plantation Apartments, and other nearby communities will benefit from the donations, offering children a joyful holiday moment and a chance to feel seen and supported.
The event is organized by Sharon and Craig Butts of Unity in the Community, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in partnership with The Falcon Group. Both organizations have long been committed to uplifting underserved families and strengthening community connections.
Residents wishing to support the effort are invited to donate toys or volunteer on the day of distribution.
