13th annual Richmond Hill Red Hot Chili Pepper run set for Friday

The non-profit organization Family Promise of the Coastal Empire will host its 13th annual “Red Hot Chili Pepper” 5K/10K run at Richmond Hill’s J.F. Gregory Park from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m on Friday, July 25.

The family-friendly event aims to raise money for efforts to end homelessness in the region.

The action kicks off at 6:15 pm with the Kids’ 1/2 mile Fun Run. The main event is at 6:30 pm, as runners hit the pavement for the 5k/10k races. Each participant will take home an event shirt and a finisher medal, alongside complimentary photos.

Over 300 runners have already registered to participate in the event, which will feature food, music, games, a mega raffle, and a silent auction that is already open online.
