“Our community has been incredibly supportive, and we are asking for another big push for our second annual Bark Park’s Happy Dogs’ Wine and Cheese Fundraiser,” Bark Park President Wendy Bolton said. “Our board is working incredibly hard. After administrative and weather-related delays, the land was surveyed and selectively cleared in February.
“However, Bryan County is requiring the construction — at our expense — of a 600-foot handicapped accessible walkway from the parking lot to the land behind the softball fields at Henderson Park. Remaining site work, fence and walkway are all significant expenses, and we need help to fund all these and meet our goal of establishing a safe place in our community where dogs can run free.”
