Spencer, Morris unite

Kristina Lynn Spencer and Christopher Dana Morris II were united in marriage July 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Quitman. The Reverend Marty Carnes officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Spencer of Quitman. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Crevasse, the late Mr. William Crevasse and the late Mr. and Mrs. H N. West all of Quitman. Christopher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Morris of Smyrna. He is the grandson of Mr. Wilson Fussell of Hazlehurst, the late Mrs. Ocala Fussell also of Hazlehurst and the late Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Morris of Oak Park.

Kristina wore gown of ivory satin. The upper bodice was a modified sweetheart neckline. It was accented with a detailed pattern of seed pearls. The pattern was repeat on the a-line skirt of the gown which extended into a chapel train. The gown had a Basque waist. She wore a waist-length veil. She wore pearls given to her by the groom. She carried a clutch bouquet of hot pink roses, orange roses, blue hydrangeas, green buttons and hypericum berries accented with ivory roses. The stems were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon and pearl pins. Kristina wore the same sixpence in her shoe that her mother wore on her wedding day. She was escorted by her father.

Kristina’s matron of honor was her sister, Kim Clark, of Atlanta. Bridesmaids were Lauren Bradford, high school and college friend of Quitman; Ashlee Gruno cousin of the bride of Quitman; Cindy Ahonen college friend of Foley, Ala.; Erin Radford school and college friend of Quitman; Jill Page college friend of Valdosta; Crystal Hardeman college friend of Atlanta; and Lauren Morris sister of the groom of Smyrna. They wore tea length periwinkle blue satin dresses with chocolate brown ribbon sashes. Each carried clutch bouquets that complimented the bride’s bouquet. The flower girl was Grace Ellyn Morris, daughter of the bride and groom. She wore an ivory dress accented with pearl beads on the bodice which was made by her paternal grandmother.

Christopher’s best man was Glenn Brewer long time friend of Los Angeles, Calf.; Ben Moody co-worker of Duluth; Sean Ahonen college friend of Foley, Ala.; John Dukes future brother-in-law of Valdosta; Steve Clark brother-in-law of the bride of Atlanta; and Rob Chandler college friend of Decatur.

After the ceremony, the reception was held at the Kingfisher Plantation in Quitman. The tables were decorated with bubble vases of blue hydrangeas. The guests danced on the outdoor dance floor to music provided by After Hours Productions.

After a honeymoon cruise visiting ports of call in Freeport and Nassau, Bahamas, the couple and their daughter are making their home in Dallas, where the bride teaches special education in the Paulding County school system and the groom is a claims adjuster with State Farm Insurance in Duluth, Georgia.
