Haley Amanda (Mandy) Sommers, daughter of Jimmy and Pam Sommers of Richmond Hill, and Matthew Jarrett Jones exchanged wedding vows on October 8, 2009 in Valle Crucis, N.C. Andy Smith performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father.
The wedding reception was held at The Ford Plantation on December 5, 2009.The couple honeymooned in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. They are now living in Richmond Hill.
The bride’s grandparents are Claudia Smith “Peewee” and the late Clebourne Smith of Stillmore, Ga., and the late Frank B. Sommers and the late Louise Bonnell Sommers of Screven County.
The groom’s parents are Mike and Kay Jones of Savannah. His grandparents are Ruth S. Fincher and the late Grady Fincher of Savannah and the late Buel D. Jones and late Eloise P. Jones of Reidsville, Ga.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and a 2003 graduate of The Academy by Horst and owns and operates A Posey Place hair salon.
The groom is a 2000 graduate of Richmond Hill High School and a 2006 graduate of Georgia Southern University. He is employed by R.T. Sikes Construction Company of Hinesville.
