Melton, Hurst wed in New York

Amanda Colleen Melton and Vance Alan Hurst, Jr. were married on Dec. 22, 2009, on the Fulton Ferry Landing overlooking New York City’s East River. They exchanged their vows under the Brooklyn Bridge in the presence of their families.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Deborah Melton of Richmond Hill, Georgia. The groom is the son of Vance and Joy Hurst, the grandson of Roy and Eleanor Hallman, Annette Hurst, and the late DeLouise Hurst, all of Boston, Georgia. The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The bride and groom are graduates of the University of Georgia. They reside in Moultrie, Georgia, where the bride works as a photographer and the groom is employed with the Colquitt County Board of Education.
