Placeholder Image

Those who would like to brighten the holidays for service members on Fort Stewart are invited to sponsor or set up light displays.
The Outdoor Recreation Division of the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation is looking for helpers to share their time or money this season.
Businesses, civic groups, garden clubs and community-organization members can donate to the cause or help set up displays around the entryway and grounds of Holbrook Pond off Highway 144.
Sponsored displays must be a minimum of 5 feet tall. Displays for Fort Stewart will be set up no later than Dec. 10.
Sponsors may remove their displays starting Dec. 27, but must complete removal by Dec. 30.
Lights must be LED and for outdoor use only. The light plug-in must be at the base of the display.
Nativity scenes are not permitted.
A picture or sketch of the display must be approved by the Outdoor Recreation Director before Dec. 6.
Those interested in participating can call Susan Chipple at 767-5145 or Bill Cooney at 767-4316.
