The next Star Wars film is still a few months away, but fans were given another glimpse into the movie this week.

Entertainment Weekly published a set of exclusive images from the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi," which debuts Dec. 15, 2017.

The pictures show lead characters Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) alongside the villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and the legendary General Leia Organa (the late Carrie Fisher).

Reys photos show her at the ruins of the first Jedi temple, according to EW. In one such photo, Rey wears a gray robe as she consults with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

The photos also show off two new characters, one that is cute, cuddly and vexing to Wookiees, according to EW, and newcomer Rose Tico, a Resistance mechanic, played by Kelly Marie Tran.

The photos also show off a few details about the film, including a picture of a casino at Canto Bight.

Finn and Rose's mission takes them to this glamorous galactic getaway a city of light and games, where fortunes are won and lost. We'll have more information today about the spike-winged little ships on the landing pad, according to EW.

You can see all the photos, along with some new details, over at Entertainment Weekly.

Vanity Fair published a set of covers in May that offered pictures of the characters, too.

The first trailer for the new film debuted in April. Director Rian Johnson and LucasFilm President Kathleen Kennedy shared the video at the Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando.

Few details about the film exist. As the Deseret News reported, Johnson told ABC News that the title refers to Skywalker being the last Jedi.
