The answer involves an unflushed toilet, a dropper and a little alone time in the bathroom. I should say Sam wasnt testing his wifes urine randomly. He explains in the video that Nia thought she might be pregnant, so he worked out his plan to surprise her before she had time to take a test.
Despite that necessary bathroom talk in the video, the announcement is funny and sweet when Sam finally convinces Nia that they will indeed be having a third child.
