Hurricane Jose is back.

Last week, as Hurricane Irma barreled toward Florida, satellite images showed a hurricane building in the Atlantic Ocean, poised to make landfall somewhere along the East Coast after Irma.

That hurricane was Jose.

Panic quelled when the storm spun out to sea, though.

But now, according to NPR, Hurricane Jose is back in play, having returned to hurricane status on Friday.

The storm received max winds of 70 mph.

No warnings have been announced yet.

But the storms cone of uncertainty shows it may make landfall in the Northeast.

The National Hurricane Center said the storm will create "high surf and life-threatening rip currents along portions of the U.S. East Coast," NPR reported.

Jose made headlines during Hurricane Irma, as it was one of three total hurricanes surrounding the southern United States at the time, as highlighted by the Deseret News.

Tropical Storm Norma is also set to make landfall on the West Coast, nearing the coast of Cabo San Lucas on Baja California Sur in Mexico, according to Weather.com. The storm will likely become a hurricane by the time it reaches the coast.
