SAVANNAH — The Savannah Philharmonic hosted a cocktail party Aug. 17 at the Jepson Center for the Arts on Barnard Street to premier the 2010-11 concert season. After a cocktail hour, guests were invited into the Neises Auditorium for a presentation from Peter Shannon, artistic director and conductor of the Savannah Philharmonic. The presentation featured highlights and excerpts from the upcoming season.
“We have a varied and exciting season ahead,” Shannon said. “We have something for everyone, from rock ‘n’ roll to opera. We are also delighted to be partnering with the Telfair on this very special evening. It is our first joint event, and we hope to have more in the future.”
The event was open to the public and was free to Savannah Philharmonic members.
