Fort Morris State Historic Site will have its annual "Come and Take It," Revolutionary War Encampment Saturday. The event is free and sponsored by the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau, city of Flemington and Friends of Fort Morris. It is named for Col. John McIntosh’s response to British Lt. Col. Lewis V. Fuser’s demand for the surrender of the fort on Nov. 25, 1778: "… We, sir, are fighting the battle of America — as to surrendering the fort, receive this laconic reply: come and take it!"
