Pembroke sets art exhibit

Pembroke will host its second downtown art exhibit this fall and organizers are currently looking for artworks to put on display.
“Fall into Art” will kickoff with a grand opening at 2 p.m. Oct. 15 at the Downtown Arts Center, 38 W. Bacon St., next door to the Tos Theatre. The exhibit, organized by the city of Pembroke and its Downtown Development Authority, will be on display through Nov. 2 in conjunction with the city’s annual Spooktacular celebration.
Amateurs as well as professionals may enter. Drawings, paintings, photographs, fabric art, mixed media and sculpture are welcome, and no special theme is required. Images must be framed and ready to hang or display. Fabric art, mixed media and sculpture must be original.  
Entries will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at Pembroke City Hall, 160 N. Main St. in Pembroke through Oct. 10.
