Fort McAllister State Historic Park is gearing up for its Labor Day family festival, set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sept. 3.
The program will include blacksmithing and musket-firing demonstrations as well as cannon firings. Visitors can learn about Civil War cooking and soldier life. Food, kids’ games, Civil War-period games and inflatables also will be available.
Other activities will include games of corn hole, a dunking booth, horseshoes and a surprise visitor.
The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.75 for children. Fort McAllister State Historic Park is on Georgia Spur 144/Fort McAllister Road in Richmond Hill.
