“Murder Two Point Uh-Oh!,” a family-friendly comedy mystery dinner-theater presentation set for tonight at Club Stewart, has something for everyone.
Show co-writer Ken Freehill said it should appeal to many tastes.
“If they are avid reader and avid fan of mystery stories, they will have a mystery that is different, playing out in front of them and during which they can ask questions,” he said.  “If they are just there to have a giggle and a chortle, they will have plenty of jokes and puns and outlandish names.”
The dinner theater will be at Club Stewart. Tickets in advance at the club are $25 each. Tickets at the door will be $30 per person.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 7:15 p.m.
During the initial cast meeting Monday, cast members broke into laughter as Freehill and Darryl Allara rattled off some of the outrageous characters’ names and described how the plot will unfold.
The show’s setting is a rehearsal for a wedding of a bride and groom who recently graduated from a clown school in Florida and want to wear their red clown noses when they take their vows. The best man is a clown named Doodles, and the maid of honor is a clown named Oodles.
The bride’s family, the groom’s family and their circus friends are mixed in with a mysterious death or deaths.
Freehill co-wrote the play with Darryl Allara.
The dinner menu is a field green salad with baby greens, cotton-candy pecans, strawberries and blue-cheese crumbles, served with a berry vinaigrette; the juggler’s pasta pot, with tossed sausage coins, peppers, onions, grape tomatoes and mozzarella balls with penne pasta in an herbed olive-oil butter sauce; and a sundae of vanilla-bean ice cream, warm waffle cone in a pool of raspberry coulis.
