Holiday festival for families and their pets at Bark Park
Special to the News
Reindog
Participants in last year's "Reindog Parade" show their costume and prizes.

The Bryan County Bark Park will host the second annual Holiday in the Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 19. The Bark Park is inside DeVaul Henderson Park.

The event provides holiday festivities for dogs and their families, along with other furry friends. Dogs, cats and children will be able to have their photos taken with Santa throughout the day. Microchipping, nail clipping and ear cleaning will be provided by Cedar Animal Hospital. There will also be a "Reindog Parade" at noon with prizes for the best holiday costumes. Beverages and snacks will also be available.

A raffle drawing at 3 p.m. will be for a CBC stand-up paddle board donated by SUP It & Sea. Raffle tickets will cost $5 each or five for $20, and are now available. Proceeds will help pay for drainage improvements and maintenance at the park.

"We are so excited to have scheduled a second annual Holiday in The Park," Bark Park President Wendy Bolton said. "This is such a fun event for families and we hope for great weather and lots of community support."
