The Richmond Hill Historical Society will conduct a fundraising tour of the Ford Plantation, including the Ford mansion, from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 6.

The guided tour will begin at the Richmond Hill Museum, 11460 Ford Ave, where participants will board a trolley car.

A reception at the museum will follow the tour.

The mansion once was owned by Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company, in the 1930s and ‘40s as a winter home.
Tickets are $25 a piece for society members and $35 apiece for nonmembers.

Deadline to purchase tickets is Wednesday. Limited seating is available.

All proceeds benefit the restoration of the Ford kindergarten building, which now is the museum.
