Monday, for the Fourth of July 4, Fort Morris State Historic Site will have its annual free Independence Day Colonial Faire.

There’ll be games of skill, prizes, live colonial music, musket and cannon firing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be opening and closing ceremonies, and you will be able to meet some of the Georgia signers of the Declaration of Independence.

The event is sponsored by the Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau, city of Flemington and the Friends of Fort Morris.

Fort Morris is seven miles east of I-95’s exit 76 at Midway. Follow the brown Liberty Trail signs.
