Fort King George to host Scottish music

The Garrison of Fort King George State Historic Site will host an evening ceilidh celebration of Scottish music and dance from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the Contentment Bluff Pavilion on the Julianton River near Shellman Bluff in northern McIntosh County.
Nationally renowned, award-winning Celtic rock band Rathkeltair will perform. Voted best Celtic rock band in 2006 in the annual Music Magazine people’s choice awards, Rathkeltair provides a unique blend of modern jam-rock fused with Celtic musical traditions including bagpipes.  
Guests can bring lawn chairs, coolers and picnic dinners.  Vendors will also sell food. All proceeds benefit the Garrison of Fort King George, a nonprofit support group.
