Don't tell that groundhog, but spring is just around the corner in Savannah. That means it's time to shake off those winter blues and head out to the first First Saturday of 2010.
Start the weekend out with a bang as Wet Willie's First Friday Fireworks explode over River Street on Friday at 9:30 p.m.
Come back down to the river for the First Saturday on the River! Enjoy the historic fun of River Street while browsing more than 60 regional arts and crafts exhibitors offering a variety of unique and original works as well as entertainment and more from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit area non-profits around the Anchor Fountain and GeektheLibrary will be on the plaza with give-aways (as long as they last).
There are over a hundred shops, restaurants and pubs on River Street and there's no better place to enjoy the rejuvenating energy of spring than on Rousakis Riverfront Plaza.
A wee bit of the green will be along with DJ's to go all day long, the Pride of Ireland dancers at 12:30 and 2 p.m., CC Express Cloggers at 3 and 4 and the American Diabetes Association Kiss-A-Pig Campaign Kick-off begins at 5.
