For the final show of the 2009-10 Performing Arts Series at the Historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Brunswick, Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association presents a group of virtuoso musicians making a return to the area. The Dromedary Quartet takes the Ritz stage at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Andrew Reissiger and Rob McMaken have performed and recorded their captivating fusion of styles and sounds for many years under the name Dromedary. When the duo first appeared at the Ritz Theatre several years ago, audiences were spellbound by every number, astonished and delighted by the virtuosity of the duo. A year later, they returned to Brunswick with the addition of the deep acoustic rhythm section of jazz bassist Chris Enghauser and New Orleans drummer Louis Romanos. The newly formed Dromedary Quartet gave audiences at the Downtown Street Fair a taste of multi-layered sound, and fans have been requesting their return.
Advanced tickets to Dromedary Quartet in concert at the Ritz are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. They are on sale at the Ritz Theatre, 1530 Newcastle St., Brunswick; by phone with a credit card (912-262-6934); or online using the PayPal service at goldenislesarts.org. Tickets may also be purchased the day of the show or at the door (if they are still available) for $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.
