'Dive-in' movie on Hunter is 'Finding Dory'

Lunchtime bowling

Are you a geo-bachelor or single soldier? BOSS will host a four-day bowling tournament from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. March 7-10. Enjoy lunch and friendly competition at Marne Bowling Center. Or, if you don’t want to bowl, just eat lunch with friends. Prizes for daily top score and top three games of the week. Soldiers need not participate each day. Dive-In Movie

Bring the family and relax by or in the pool at the Tominac Fitness Center’s showing of Disney Pixar’s “Finding Dory” at 5:30 p.m. March 10. There’s no charge. The movie is rated PG and runs 105 minutes. For more information, call 912-315-5078.

 

Golf scramble

Bring a team, or join one for the Hunter Garrison Commander’s Golf Scramble at 9 a.m. March 10 at Hunter Golf Course. It costs $30 for members and $35 for others. Luck o' Irish Bingo

Play Stewart-Hunter’s Luck o’ the Irish Bingo on March 11 and you might take home a pot of gold. Up to $35K in guaranteed payouts. Buy-in through March 5 is $125 per person, then $175. Doors open at 11 a.m. and program starts at 5 p.m. Price includes green beer for patrons 21 and older. Parents Night Out

CYS is offering Parents Night Out child care for ages 6 weeks to 12 years on March 11 at building 403. Drop off at 5:30, pick up at 11:30. Dinner and late snack provided. The cost is $25 for the first child, $20 for each additional child. Children must be registered with CYS. Stewart/Hunter Garrison Spring Gala attendees receive $5 off with their paid ticket to Parent Central Services by March 1. Pre-register by March 2. Youth Late Night

CYS-registered youth 11-18 years old are invited to hang out for a Late Night In from 5:30-11:30 March 11 at the Youth Activity Center on Mindoro Loop. Rocky Golf Classic

Find out if you are the best golfer in one of three divisions at the Rocky Golf Classic at Hunter Golf Course March 11-12. Divisions in the 36-hole stroke play are active duty, retiree and non-military. Tee times start at 10 a.m. Cost is $75 for active duty and retirees, $85 for non-military, which includes tournament, cart, driving range and prizes. Entry deadline is March 6. Bass tournament

The first of four catch-and-release Marne Trail Bass Tournaments will start at 6:30 a.m. March 18 at Metz Pond on Fort Stewart.

Cash prizes are $250 for first-place (total weight, five-fish) and $100 for the largest bass. Door prizes awarded after weigh-in at 11 a.m. 

The fee is $20 through Feb. 28 for soldiers, retirees and their family members and youth (15 and younger); and $30 for civilians. Fees go up $5 March 1. Register at Stewart/Hunter Pass and Permit offices.

Company volleyball/soccer

Companies interested in intramural volleyball or soccer on Fort Stewart should submit a memo to the Bennett's Sports Complex office. Signups close March 15 for soccer, which will be played at the Sports Annex fields. Signups end March 31 for volleyball at Newman Fitness Center. Intramural softball

All-Army Bowling

Applications for the All-Army Bowling Trial Camp and Armed Forces Competition will be accepted until March 1. The camp will be May 2-4 and the competition May 5-9, both at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
