The Liberty County Community and Area Mass Choir will have auditions for its next performance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.
The organization’s upcoming show is a special children’s choir performance, titled “Light of the World,” that will feature Christmas music from the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir.
There is no age limit. Audition participants will be asked to sing a solo of their choice.
Rehearsals for the adult singers begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Gen. Stewart Way.
Singers should plan to take part in the rehearsals. The concert will be in early December at the Marne Chapel on Fort Stewart and is sponsored by the Marne Chapel congregation.
The Liberty County Community and Area Mass Choir was established in 2003 and has brought Liberty County and surrounding area residents together through musical performances.
Choir director Ronald Calhoun said there is a place for everyone in the LCCA Mass Choir, which serves Liberty, Bryan and Chatham counties. The choir is registered with the state of Georgia as a nonprofit organization.
Singers interested in auditioning may contact music coordinator Eleanor Hudson for a book of music and rehearsal CD. She can be reached at 876-7610 or e-mail behud5@yahoo.com.
For more information, e-mail Calhoun at lcca.mass.choir@bellsouth.net or call 977-3322.
