Rebecca Flaherty, a local soprano, will be the featured performer at the November Festive Friday fundraiser from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Richmond Hill Civic Center.
The event will raise money to fund community outreach and scholarships for young singers in the community on behalf of the Savannah VOICE Festival.
Flaherty, a VOICE Festival committee member, will be accompanied by Renee Miles from AngelFire and will perform a range of Broadway hits and popular songs throughout the evening.
The City Center is donating 20 percent of proceeds raised Friday to the Savannah VOICE Festival. The event also will have discounted drinks and free snacks.
“We are delighted to host our pre-holiday festive fundraiser to benefit the VOICE Festival’s work,” said Beverly Cosmann, City Center general manager. “It is wonderful to offer our community this caliber of music free of charge to provide a relaxed and low cost evening for Richmond Hill people at the end of the working week.”
