Rotary welcomes new member
Rotary International

The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill recently celebrated a new member, received a thank-you from Wildcats cheerleaders and learned about new technology at its regular weekly meeting at the City Center.

President Lesley Francis inducted the club’s newest member, Jason J. Anderson, who is vice president at South State Bank’s Investment Services Division. Anderson grew up in Richmond Hill and was nominated for membership by South State Bank President Jon Seagraves. Anderson is the club’s 12th induction this year.

Sidney de Long, daughter of Rotarian Rich de Long, presented a thank-you to the club for its recent donation to the cheerleading team for assistance with travel and other team support.

Finally, Carl Francis presented an update on consumer electronic technology. Francis is CEO of P2i Inc., a nanotechnology company that creates an invisible barrier to water, oil or any liquid in order to protect mobile telephones, medical devices and other consumer electronics.

“I have been privileged to serve as president to such a lively and committed club over the last 12 months and to have seen such a growth in membership,” Lesley Francis said.
