The Beatles tribute band “Britishmania” will highlight a Beatles-themed fundraiser organized by the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill for Saturday, Feb. 2.

The event begins at 6:30 p.m. A buffet will be served at 7 p.m. with a cash bar available. The City Center will be themed to represent the famous Liverpool Cavern where the Beatles began their career. Events will be introduced by Liverpool resident Roy Barber who is flying from the United Kingdom for the event and saw the Beatles perform during his youth.

Silent and live auctions will also take place throughout the evening with special Beatles-themed items and many other wonderful donations available for bids.

“This wonderful experience is designed to wow everybody who attends and, importantly, will raise money for local and international charities,” club President-elect Larry Barker said. “Everybody from our community and beyond is welcome and 1960s dress is encouraged, but not essential.”

Tickets are $60 per person and include dinner, entertainment and dancing. Tickets can be purchase by calling Larry Barker at 756-5942, emailing larrybarker@coastalnow.net or by going to the Barker & Associates office at 31 Constitution Way or the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce office at 2591 Highway 17.

Sponsorship packages are also available. Logos and accreditation of businesses and individuals sponsoring the event will appear on promotional materials. Sponsorship levels available are: “Meet The Beatles,” eight tickets for $1,000; “Sgt. Peppers Band,” four tickets for $500; and “Abbey Road,” two tickets for $250.
