The Richmond Hill Garden Club awarded its December Yard of the Month to Sandy and Austin Andersen, who live at 500 Greenwich in Richmond Heights subdivision.
Two Cleveland pears frame the Andersens’ yard and blooming sasanqua camellias brighten the front, their pink color still attracting cloudless sulphur and gulf fritillary butterflies. Encore azaleas and a Japanese maple add to the front planting bed. A fountain and a conch shell collection from St. Simons Island complement the front planting, where irises soon will make their appearance.
Die-hard Bulldogs fans, the Andersens show their allegiance by featuring a bulldog near the door. In accordance with this time of the year, the entry features a Christmas tree and other seasonal decorations.
