Tatty and Stacy Amour patiently wait for a tug on the fishing line while enjoying Outdoor Adventure Day on Sept. 22 at the Richmond Hill Fish Hatchery.

The event, sponsored by the state Department of Natural Resources, included free fishing, kayaking and archery, as well as free hot dogs and refreshments.

According to Chris Harper with DNR, Outdoor Adventure Day is an opportunity for the state to give back to hunters and fishermen who help fund DRN projects through permit fees.
