RICHMOND HILL — The Rotary Club of Richmond Hill and Life Moves Dance Studio are launching an initiative to help military families in the region by providing free childcare for active military members during the afternoon and evening of Dec. 20.
This new Military Night Out will provide an afternoon of fun activities for the children of military families to give parents time to shop, run holiday errands or enjoy some quiet time to themselves.
Life Moves Dance Teachers and Rotarians will watch and care for the children from 3-9 p.m. Dec. 20 at the new Life Moves dance studio, 11260 Highway 144 in Richmond Hill. Children ranging in age from infants to 12 years old can participate in age-appropriate games, tumbling, dance, a bouncy house, movies, crafts and more. Drinks and snacks will be provided. There is no cost because members of the Rotary Club and Life Moves said they are committed to providing this service to show appreciation for the sacrifices made by military families.
Space is limited and reservations are required. To reserve a spot and specify the times for child care, call 912-756-8482 or sign up at Life Moves Dance Studio.
“Rotary is about giving back to others and putting service above self. Our club’s goal this year is to ‘Light up Rotary,’ and we are especially focusing on helping future generations. We cannot think of a better way to show our practical appreciation for the families of our military during the holiday season,” Rotary Club of Richmond Hill President Lesley Francis  said.
