In honor of National Assisted Living Week, Magnolia Manor on the Coast will host a “Care Packages for Troops” through Thursday for residents of Richmond Hill.

Items to send to troops are being collected now until 3 p.m. Thursday at the manor at 141 Timber Trail Road, Richmond Hill. Please come enjoy coffee, cookies, crafts and sharing this occasion with the residents of Magnolia Manor.

A complete list of items for troops can be found at: www.give2thetroops.org or call Kelly at 756-4300 ext 102.

National Assisted Living Week began on Grandparent’s Day, which was Sunday, and continues through Saturday. Many assisted living residents are the people who made significant contributions to our community. They have been the teachers, business people, civic leaders, public officials, parents, and now grandparents, who have contributed so much to Richmond Hill.

This week gives people a chance to honor these residents' contributions, along with staff, families, friends and volunteers of the community.
