Annual Fairy and Gnome Festival is May 6

Put your wings and pointed hats on and come to Oatland Island Wildlife Center for a day of enchantment at the Fairy and Gnome Festival from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.  May 6.

This fantastical day is all about the “wee folk” and getting up close with the natural world and encouraging active, outdoor play. Children can forage in the enchanted forest for fairies, help construct a fairy village using all natural materials, show off costumes in the fairy and gnome fashion show, and have fun dancing around the May pole.

There will be other enchanting activities, such as face painting, games, crafts, live animal encounters and concessions. Be sure to bring the whole family to stroll Oatland’s trails and catch a glimpse of the fairies and gnomes wandering our enchanted forest.

The cost for this fundraising event is regular admission plus some activities fees. For further information, please call Oatland Island at 912-395-1517.
