Sept 23: Jazz in the Park  – Head over to Savannah’s Forsyth Park from 7-11 p.m. for an evening of free, outdoor jazz sponsored by the Savannah Jazz Festival.  Take in the sounds of Huxie Scott & Friends, Stan Killian Quartet and UNF Band with Allan Harris. Sept. 24:
Fall Festival  –
Join Richmond Hill and G.W. Carver Elementary schools to celebrate the new season and school year. Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the school campuses, and will feature games, rides, a human hamster ball, rock wall, silent auction, dunking booth (try your hand at dunking one of the principals!) and much more. Proceeds from the festival will be used to fund playground equipment for the schools.

Ford Plantation Trolley Tour – Explore the historical sites and buildings of The Ford Plantation with a guided trolley tour presented by the Richmond Hill Historical Society. After the tour, mingle and enjoy refreshments at the Richmond Hill Museum. Tour will begin at the museum at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for Historical Society members and $35 for non-members. Call 756-3697 or stop by the museum to make your reservations.

Sept. 26:
McTeacher Night –
Visit McDonald’s (Publix plaza, Hwy. 144) from 5-8 p.m. for McTeacher Night, benefitting First Christian Academy. Teachers and staff will be on hand, working at the restaurant for the evening, and 20 percent of all McTeacher Night sales will be donated to the school.
