Oct. 13: Quilting Class - The Richmond Hill Public Library’s Common Threads knit and crochet group will host an organizational meeting to start up a quilting class. Meeting will take place at the library at 1:30 p.m. The group invites all experienced quilters who would like to share their knowledge with others to join them to work out the details. Tybee Festival of the Arts - Head out to Tybee to experience a juried art show and live music. This festival will take place rain or shine in the South Beach parking lot from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Visit www.tybeearts.org for details.

Marine Science Day 2010 - Skidaway Institute of Oceanography (10 Ocean Science Circle, Savannah) hosts an afternoon filled with hands-on activities, special exhibits, a nature hike, reptile show and behind-the-scenes tours of the aquarium.
