July 17: GSU story time – A troupe of educators from Georgia Southern University will present an educational story time performance, including live animals, at First Baptist Church Richmond Hill (9184 Ford Ave.) at 2 p.m. Event is sponsored by Richmond Hill Public Library as part of their Summer Reading Program. “So Easy to Preserve Tomatoes” –
Head over to the Bamboo Farm and Coastal Gardens (2 Canebrake Rd., Savannah) to learn techniques for canning and preserving  all of those tomatoes you bought at the new Richmond Hill Farmers Market. Class begins at 10 a.m. and will feature publications, recipes and food preservation information for home canning. It is free and open to the public. Call 652-7981 for additional information.
