Bring One for the Chipper
The city of Richmond Hill will collect Christmas trees from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in J.F. Gregory Park. The trees will be recycled into mulch to beautify the park's grounds.

Winter Wonderland
Experience the wonders of winter from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Georgia State Railroad Museum in Savannah. Children will discover the science behind cold weather, make their own "snow" and participate in a number of winter-themed art activities. Cost is $6 per child with regular adult admission. First Saturday
Fort King George State Historic Site will host its First Saturday Fun at the Fort event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Darien. There will be a scavenger hunt, hands-on colonial games for people of all ages, musket and cannon firing, as well as the opportunity to explore the fort. Common Threads
Local crochet and knitting group, Common Threads, will meet from 10 a.m.-noon at the Richmond Hill Public Library to knit and crochet blankets for Project Linus and Warm Up America. The group is open to the public and accepts all skill levels.
