The Richmond Hill Community Theatre will host auditions for the production of The Wizard of Oz this weekend. The musical will be performed May 1 and 2.

Jan. 29 & 31: “The Wizard of Oz” Auditions – The Richmond Hill Community Theatre will host auditions for the production of “The Wizard of Oz,” which will be performed May 1 and 2. The auditions will take place at the Richmond Hill Public Library from 6-9 p.m., on Jan. 29, and from 2-5 p.m., on Jan. 31. Singing talent is not required, but is a plus. Participants to do not need to prepare a monologue or have an extensive acting resume. Actors can bring a headshot, but it is not required.

Jan. 30-31
Movie Night Under the Stars – The Ice Cream Stop in Richmond Hill invites the community to a free family fun night of movie watching under the stars. Friday evening’s showing will be a PG-rated movie, and Saturday night’s movie will be rated G. The movies will begin at dusk. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Jan. 31
Bethesda Farm Stand – Bethesda students and staff sell fresh produce, organic garden seedlings and farm-fresh eggs. Students lead or assist in planting, cultivating and harvesting all items at Bethesda Academy using sustainable, organic farming techniques. The event takes place from 8:30 a.m.-noon, at Bethesda Academy, on Ferguson Ave. in Savannah. For more information, call 351-2061.

Feb. 4
Coffee and Conversation – The RHBC Chamber of Commerce will host its February Coffee and Conversation from 8:30-9:30 a.m., at the RHBC Chamber Office. Bryan County Public Library – Richmond Hill Manager Kate Barker will update guests on how different libraries are in the 21st Century. The local library offers a wide variety of services available to the community.
