Tybee Island is throwing a beach party Sunday with the Swingin' Medallions for Labor Day.

Aug. 29-30: Movie Night Under the Stars — The Ice Cream Stop in Richmond Hill invites the community to a free family fun night of movie watching under the stars. Friday evening’s showing will be a PG-rated movie, and Saturday night’s movie will be rated G. The movies will begin at dusk. Guests are asked to bring a lawn chair. Healthy Kids First Walk and Health Fair – From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., families are invited to get healthy in a fun way at the Forsyth Park Band Shell in downtown Savannah. Labor Day Festival – Families are welcome to join the Labor Day Festival at Fort McAllister State Park this year from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Visitors who wish to only use the Day Use outside of the fort will require a $5 ParkPass. Fort and museum visitors need to pay for admission at the museum when arriving. For more information, call 727-2339.

Labor Day Beach Bash – Come to Tybee Pier and Pavilion on Tybee Island for live music featuring the Swingin’ Medallions starting at 7 p.m. A fireworks display will start around 9:15 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.  For more information, visit www.visittybee.com.

Sept. 2
Richmond Hill Farmer’s Market — Stop by the farmer’s market between 3-7 p.m., at the pavilion at the J.F. Gregory Park. A variety of produce and local crafts will be available for purchase.
