June 5: Historical Society Lecture Series — The Richmond Hill Historical Society’s monthly lecture is back from 7-9 p.m. at the Richmond Hill History Museum. This month’s guest speaker is Bob Fennel, who will talk about his mother’s book, “Little Did I Know,” about her days working with Henry Ford. Friday Night Fun Runs — Tim and Dave’s Nursery, along with Georgia Game Changers Running Company, is sponsoring a free Friday Night Fun Run at J.F. Gregory Park at 6:30 p.m. Participants can walk or run the 3-mile course and earn ribbons for each run or walk completed. For more information, call 445-2163.

June 7
First Saturday Cars and Coffee  — At 9 a.m., all are invited to the Richmond Hill History Museum to show off their antique or collector cars while swapping stories, tips and ideas with fellow car enthusiasts. Fresh, gourmet coffee will be offered for 25 cents with a $1 donation to the museum. This event is open to the public. For more information, call 756-3697.

June 11
Public Library Summer Performance — The community is invited to Richmond Hill United Methodist Church at 2 p.m., for the Richmond Hill Public Library’s second summer performance of the year. The performance will feature Lynnae Weller of Savannah Balloons with her performance, “Charlie and the Chocolate Balloon Factory.” The performance encourages children to read and has a science theme. Children of all ages are welcome to attend this free event.
