April 3-6: Fort Stewart Carnival — Enjoy amusement rides for children and adults, skill games, food concessions and more at Walker Field on Fort Stewart. The event is open to the public. Prices are one ticket for $1, 12 tickets for $10, 24 tickets for $20, 50 tickets for $25 or arm bands for $25 per person/per night, which allows for unlimited rides. Thursday and Friday the carnival opens at 6 p.m. Saturday the carnival opens at noon, and Sunday it opens at 1 p.m. Pets, coolers, outside food, glass bottles and weapons are prohibited. April 5
Doggy Day Celebration — From 1-4 p.m., at Magnolia Manor on the Coast in Richmond Hill, a fun-packed doggy day is planned, complete with free hot dogs, drinks and dog cookies. The celebration includes competitions and prizes. Dog lovers are encouraged to bring their dogs to enjoy the afternoon. The price of admission is one donation of a can of dog or cat food, collars, treats or flea shampoo to help the Bryan County Animal Control food drive. For more information, call 756-4300.

Extreme Color Run — “The most exciting 5K” on Fort Stewart will begin at 9 a.m. at Holbrook Pond Recreation Area. The race, which is an untimed noncompetitive walk/run, is open to the public. Participants will walk or run through different color stations, where they will be covered in powdered non-toxic color at different points on the route. Wearing white is encouraged. April 6
Lt. Dan Band Concert — The concert, which is open to the public, begins at 5 p.m. The concert is free and will take place at Donovan Field on Fort Stewart. For more information, call 767-6212.

Richmond Hill Farmers Market — From 3-7 p.m. under the pavilion at J.F. Gregory Park, guests can visit the market for a variety of produce, local crafts, prepared food and more. The market takes place rain or shine and is pet friendly. Please keep pets on a leash.
