March 13: Bring Your Own Dog Yappy Hour — From 6-8 p.m., at Fish Tales Restaurant at Fort McAllister Marina, a “Joys of Spring” event will take place to raise the necessary funds for the building of the county’s dog park at Henderson Park. The Bryan County Animal Shelter will be collecting items for animals in need. Attendees who donate items will be given a raffle ticket to enter into a prize drawing for a goody basket of Bryan County Bark Park items. Beer will be available for $1 a cup. Dogs can drink Bowser beer at $5 a bottle or opt to drink water. Entry is free and well-behaved dogs are encouraged to attend. Cocktails will be offered with non-alcoholic versions available. Laser Quest — The Corkan Family Recreation Area facility at Fort Stewart is bringing back the monthly laser tag competition. The person with the highest score each month will receive two free games or admission to any Corkan Family Recreation Area facility. Tell the staff if you want to participate in the competition. Cost is $4 per 10-minute game. The competition is Friday from 3-8 p.m., Saturday from noon-8 p.m., and Sunday from noon-6 p.m. For more information, call 767-4273.

St. Patrick’s Day Blowout — Downtown Savannah will feature five performance stages in the festival zone including two on River Street, two in City Market and one on St. Julian Street. The festival will showcase 60 bands over the four-day event, which is free and open to the public. The festival begins at 4 p.m., Friday and ends at 11 p.m., Sunday.
