Jan. 24: Tarzan the Musical — Savannah Children’s Theatre is swinging into the New Year with bungees, aerial silks and hanging vines for their main stage production of Disney’s musical, which will run three weekends through Feb. 9. Snow Day — Have kids that have yet to throw a snowball this season or build a snowman? Check out the 2014 Snow Day from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Shelter Cove Community Park on Hilton Head Island, sponsored by Hilton Head Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. The event will have inflatable rides, pony rides and entertainment. There will be a “snow field” where little ones can build a mini snowman, make snowballs or even snow angels. Cannon Firings at Old Fort Jackson — Fort Pulaski National Monument offers visitors and guests daily interpretive programs including guided fort tours and musket and soldier demonstrations. Come out for cannon-firing demonstrations. Guided fort tours begin at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and cannon firings happen twice daily at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Children under 6 years old get in free with a parent, and adults admission is $6 per person.
