Dec. 6: Opening lighting ceremony & Chili Cook-Off — The city of Richmond Hill will kick off the season with the lighting of the holiday lights and sampling award-winning chili from local chefs from 6:30-9 p.m. in J.F. Gregory Park. Cook-off booths will be filled with chili chefs and craft vendors.  Cash awards are given to the best-tasting chili in town. Enjoy a variety of food, entertainment and more.

Dec. 7
Hometown Christmas Parade and lighted boat parade — Richmond Hill’s annual Christmas parade starts at 10 a.m. Gather together to watch local Scouts, many floats, the Fort Stewart 3rd Infantry Division band and, of course, Santa make their way along Francis Meeks Drive to City Hall.  Later that evening, the annual lighted boat parade will get going around 6 p.m. at Fort McAllister Marina, beginning at the state park pier and ending at the last house on the point.  Attractions will include live music, food and beverages.

Christmas on the Train — Immediately following the Richmond Hill Christmas parade, The Suites at Station Exchange will host family fun and entertainment from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Entertainment includes live music by Keith & Ross, carriage rides, a visit with Santa, crafts with Midnight Star Pottery and shopping with more than 20 vendors.
