Sept. 12: ‘Yappy Hour’ for Bark Park — It’s BYOD (bring your own dog) from 6-8 p.m. at Fish Tales Restaurant on Fort McAllister Road to raise funds for the construction of the county’s dog park at Henderson Park. Southern Eagle has donated a keg and will be offering cups of beer for $1 each. Entry is free and special “Bryan” cocktails will be offered with non-alcoholic versions available. Sept. 14:
Fourth annual Kids Crabbing Tournament — Hosted by Offshore Outlaws, registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and kids can begin crabbing at 10:30 a.m. The final weigh in is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. after which families can enjoy a crab boil with music, games and hermit crab races. Fall Book Sale — Friends of the Richmond Hill Library will be selling used books in the large conference room of the library at 9607 Ford Ave. The library is charging 50 cents for paperbacks, $ 1 for hardbacks and will feature special bargains on children’s books.
