Aug. 10: Pembroke’s National Night Out — In partnership with the Pembroke Police Department, the Pembroke Fire Department, the Bryan County Drug-Free Coalition, Bryan County Emergency Services and the Downtown Development Authority of Pembroke, the city of Pembroke is hosting its annual Night Out. Guests will enjoy hot dogs and refreshments will visiting safety displays, informational booths and a unity walk. Kids should like the dunk tank and bounce house. Special guests KIX96, I-95 and 102.1 Sports Radio will also be present. The event kicks off at 5 p.m. at Ledford and Gibson St, is free to the public and ends at 8 p.m.

Aug. 11
 “Salt2Sand” Cornhole Tournament benefiting Surfers for Autism — Toss a beanbag for a good cause at the North Beach Grill. The tournament will also offer a silent auction and music by Domino Effect, Kota Mundi and The Trains Wrecks. All proceeds go to the Surfers for Autism Organization. This is a family-friendly event and competitors should expect to pay $50 for a two-person team. Tournament is from 1-5 p.m. with team registration at 12:30 p.m. Spectators can watch for free. Savannah Voice Festival: Listen to My Heart: The Music of David Friedman — A multi-platinum recording artist with Broadway shows, Disney and television scores to his credit, David Friedman presents an inspirational show about life and love, sung with classical voices. The concert takes place at 3 p.m. at the Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church and ticket costs are $15 per person. For more information, visit savannahvoicefestival.org.
