The Savannah Bananasl baseball team will play a doubleheader against the Gastonia Grizzlies Wednesday at historic Grayson Stadium in Savannah.

Here are a few events coming to our area in the next week:

June 9

RHHS Wildcat Football Camp — This football camp at Richmond Hill High School will focus on the fundamentals of football to include combine testing, offensive and defensive position play, speed and agility training, and strength and conditioning. Participants should bring cleats, gym shoes and any other personal equipment (gloves, etc.). The camp will be outside, so prepare for the elements (sunscreen, etc.). Each camper will be provided hydration throughout the day, along with lunch. If you should have food allergies, please plan to pack your own lunch. Registration is 8-9 a.m., and camp is 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost is $50. Space is limited. For more visit www.rhfootball.net.

Warriors for William Annual Golf Tournament — The second annual William Webb Memorial Invitational Golf Tournament will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. at The Club at Savannah Harbor, 2 Resort Drive, Savannah. Registration was due earlier. Tournament benefits the foundation, which focuses on raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer research. National Get Outdoors Day — Take a short drive to Wormsloe Historic Site, 7601 Skidaway Road, Savannah. Join a costumed park ranger on a 2.5-mile hike to Battery Wymberly, one of the most pristine remaining Civil War-era Confederate earthworks. Learn about Wormsloe’s Civil War history, and see the beautiful battery trail. Admission is $4.50 to $10. There are two tours to the battery. Foundations 101: New Life Church — A small group gathering meets at 6 p.m. Sundays this month at New Life Church Fellowship Hall, 16252 Highway 144 E., Richmond Hill. Child care is provided. Associate Pastor Tom Seaman will guide attendees through "Know What You Believe" by Paul E. Little. Topics covered include: Why do we believe in the Bible? Who is God? Who is the real Jesus? Fort McAllister – Junior Ranger Camp No. 1 — The first week for Junior Ranger Camp is specialized for younger campers, ages 7-9. Campers will explore natural and cultural history of Georgia. Includes a canoe trip. Lunch is not provided. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 13-17. Admission is $100. Registration was due earlier. Go to gastateparks.org/FortMcAllister.

Camps at Let’s Create — Let’s Create, 10471 Ford Ave., Richmond Hill, will host two camps for ages 9-13 from June 13-16. At Canvas Creations Camp, from 1-4 p.m. each day, campers will explore different types of mediums and translate them to canvas. A $25 deposit is required. Cost is $100. Pirates and Mermaids takes place from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Campers will learn about the history of pirates and the mysteries of mermaids and paint and embellish treasure chests. Camps at Life Moves Dance Studio — Life Moves Dance Studio, 11260 Highway 144, Richmond Hill, will host a variety of camps for youth throughout summer. This week, Happy Feet Dance Camp for ages 2-4 will take place from 9:30-11:30 a.m. June 13-17 and will feature dance, tumble, creative play, crafts and classic story books brought to life. Camp includes crafts and snacks. Cost is $75 per person, $70 for military and $65 for additional siblings. Also, Live to Dance Camp for ages 7 and older will take place from 1-4 p.m. and include ballet, jazz and contemporary dance and tumbling.
