Here are a few of the things that have been scheduled for our area:

April 28

Cheers for Charity — Savannah-area residents are invited to raise a glass — and some much-needed funds — at the first in a series of "Cheers for Charity" fundraising events organized by Coastal Empire Beer Co. The company’s inaugural event will take place during Earth Month, April, and will benefit Ogeechee Riverkeeper. From 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, Coastal Empire Beer Co. will host special tours of its Savannah brewery at a discounted rate. Riverkeeper friends and supporters will get 30 percent off the regular $15 fee, and each admission includes 36 ounces of on-site samples and a souvenir beer growler to go. The Riverkeeper will receive part of the proceeds from "Cheers for Charity" to continue funding their education programs, outreach efforts and advocacy.

7th Annual RHBC Chamber Golf Tournament, sponsored by Ameris Bank — Golf tournament to take place at Sterling Links Golf Course. Check-in and registration are at 11 a.m. Shotgun start is at 12:30 p.m. Fees/admission: $300 per foursome ($75 per player) Contact the Richmond Hill/Bryan County Chamber of Commerce office for more information.

April 29

Campground Campfire Smores ’N More — Campground Campfire Smores ’N More to be held at Fort McAllister State Historic Park from 7-8 p.m. Campers in the Savage Island Campground are invited to come out for a night of fun around a campfire. Games will range from bingo to Mad Libs, and s’mores will be supplied. All ages are welcome, but only registered campers may participate. Call 912-727-2339 or go to gastateparks.org/FortMcAllister.

May 3

Richmond Hill Farmers Market — The Richmond Hill Farmers Market takes place from 2-7 p.m. every Tuesday through November at J.F. Gregory Park, 521 Cedar St. For vendor updates, go to www.facebook.com/RichmondHillFarmersMarket or www.richmondhill-ga.gov. Those interested in being vendors should contact market manager Joy Lee at 912-727-6496 or jlee@richmondhill-ga.gov. No pets are allowed under the pavilion.

May 4

Future Wildcat Night — Richmond Hill Middle School, 503 Warren Hill Road, welcomes incoming sixth-graders to the campus to get informed and ready for the 2016-17 school year. For more information, go to rhms.bryan.k12.ga.us.
