Richmond Hill City Center hosts Lunch Bunch -- Enjoy a meal prepared by head chef Greg Tanner and staff at the City Center in J.F. Gregory Park. Cost is $15 per person, $13 for city employees. First Friday Fireworks, Downtown Savannah -- Celebrate the end of the week and the beginning of a new month with First Friday Fireworks and River Street fun. First Friday Fireworks, are presented by Wet Willie’s, begin at 9:30 p.m. First Fridays and Saturdays on the River take place each month on the Rousakis Riverfront Plaza on River Street in Savannah from March through December. ServSafe Training and Certification, Georgia Southern University -- The ServSafe program blends the latest U.S. Food and Drug Administration food code, food-safety research and years of food-sanitation training experience. Students learn to implement essential food safety practices and create a culture of food safety while earning the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, accredited by the American National Standards Institute’s Conference for Food Protection. Cost is $75 per person (class and exam), and $25 per person (exam only). Classes held on Aug. 10-12, exam on Aug. 14, from 5-8 p.m., at the College of Health and Human Sciences on the campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
