July 16: Fort McAllister State Park hosts Story Time with a Ranger — Join a ranger as she reads stories about nature. Bring a picnic and enjoy the playgrounds and picnic area after the stories. There is no fee for the story time, but there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle. Story time is at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 16. No reservation is required. Call 912-727-2339 for more information.

Restoration Worship Center hosts One-Day Vacation Bible School — Lessons will cover understanding, courage, peace, healing, calling, etiquette, drugs, finance, bullying and career development. Westside Baptist Church, Hinesville hosts Vacation Bible School — All children (prekindergarten through sixth grade) are invited to vacation Bible school, from 6-8 p.m. July 19-23. The program, “Journey Off the Map,” will be held at Westside Baptist Church, 108 N. Welborn St. in Hinesville. Children are sure to enjoy the songs, the crafts, the stories, the snacks and, of course, the fun? There is no cost. Midnight Star Pottery hosts Summer Camp — Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Ages 5 and older are welcome to attend. The cost is $125 per camper and $10 off each additional sibling coming the same week. Campers will make about eight to 10 projects using a potter’s wheel, hand-building with clay, glass fusion, camper’s choice, canvas and tie-dying T-shirts. Drinks and snacks will be served.
