Ogeechee Riverkeeper will have a paddle trip from Wadley to Coleman Lake Saturday. The seven-mile journey through the upper Ogeechee has lots of twists and turns.

April 24: Ogeechee Riverkeeper paddle trip — Ogeechee Riverkeeper will hold a paddle trip April 25 from Wadley to Coleman Lake. Paddlers will enjoy a seven-mile journey through the upper Ogeechee River’s twists and turns. Trip is suitable for beginner to intermediate paddlers. Anyone interested in participating must register online at ogeecheeriverkeeper.org by April 24; no registrants or rentals will be accepted after the deadline. Participants will meet at 9 a.m. April 25 and should bring a lunch and snacks, water bottles, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water shoes or old sneakers (avoid flip-flops or old sandals) and dry bags to store keys and phones. There is a small fee for rental boats if paddlers do not have their own, and outings may be altered because of weather forecasts or water levels. Girls Night Out Benefiting The Pregnancy Care Center of Richmond Hill — Friday, April 24, from 7-9:30 p.m. at Richmond Hill City Center, 520 Cedar St. Guests will be pampered at relaxation stations. Vendors will feature local business deals, boutique items, indulgence and pampering sessions, health and wellness information, door prizes and interactive experiences. Fort Stewart Bridal and Event Expo — The Bridal Event and Expo at Club Stewart will take place from 1:30-4:30 p.m. April 26. It’s a one-stop place to meet with a wide range of professionals and others who can help reduce the stress that goes with planning a wedding. Preview trends in table design, flowers, cakes, catering and décor. Learn about hair and beauty, jewelry, limousines and fashion. Cost is $7 per person in advance and $10 at the door and includes an hors d’oeuvres buffet. Brides-to-be will be given “swag bags,” and are invited to pre-register by April 24 for an opportunity to receive a free wedding dress. RHHS Student Athletes, 2015-2016 Medical Physical Opportunity — Physicals for the 2015-16 school year will be held Monday, April 27, after school in the East Gym at Richmond Hill High School. Cost is $10. All student athletes must have up-to-date physicals to be eligible to participate. These physicals will be valid for participation in summer activities (camps, conditioning, etc) as well as the entire 2015-16 school year.
