Marion Neeley
Marion Neeley is the assistant manager of Navy Federal Credit Union in Richmond Hill.

Marion Neeley, assistant manager of Navy Federal Credit Union in Richmond Hill, faces the questions this week:

Q: How long have you lived in Richmond Hill?
A:  I moved to Richmond Hill from Fort Sill, Oklahoma, as a military spouse in 2007. When my husband received orders to Fort Stewart, I researched the area for the best places to live in, including a good school system for my two children, and therefore decided to reside in Richmond Hill.
Q: What do you do for a living?
A: I am an assistant manager at Navy Federal Credit Union in Richmond Hill. I assist members with their financial needs and also train, coach and support our team.
Q: How long have you worked with the Navy Federal Credit Union?
A: I have been working with Navy Federal since 2008. I started at the Hinesville branch and moved into the assistant-manager position with the opening of the new branch in Richmond Hill in September 2014.
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
A: I enjoy the involvement with the military community in the area and the day by day interactions with our members.
Q: In what ways does the Navy Federal Credit Union support the local community?
A: Navy Federal is honored to support the communities we serve and where our members and employees live. We partner with local charities, volunteer programs, educational programs and military and veteran groups as part of our efforts to be good neighbors. In the Bryan County area, we are a member with the local chamber of commerce and recently donated to the Matthew Freeman Project, Usbourne Books and More and RHHS JROTC.
Q: Why is it important to you to work for a company that is willing to donate money to local causes and charities?
A: As a military spouse, it is important to give back to the military community, which Navy Federal greatly supports.
Q: What’s your favorite restaurant to eat at in Richmond Hill and what’s your favorite menu item?
A: My favorite restaurant in Richmond Hill is Molly MacPherson’s, and my favorite menu item is Shepherd’s Pie. For dessert, I like All Things Chocolate, and their cannoli pastries are my favorite.
Q: What’s your favorite place to visit nearby? Why?
A: My favorite place to visit nearby is Tybee Island, because I love the beach and the ocean atmosphere.
Q: If money weren’t an option, how would you spend your time?
A: If money weren’t an option, I would travel, especially to Europe.
Q: What’s one talent you wish you had?
A: I really enjoy running especially at J.F. Gregory Park. One day I would love to be able to run a marathon.
